I am Chen Qiushi. This site holds what I made between 2025 and 2026: an English poem about a spider, a product design completed with two classmates, a textual analysis of Wuthering Heights, a 19-page eco-criticism comic, a classroom production of An Inspector Calls, an undersea world called Sai Le Yuan, some animal sketches drawn on the spur of the moment, and a merch cup that went from a design draft all the way to a real product — sold at a charity sale, with the proceeds donated.

In all of these works, the hands-on parts — the design, the drawing, the coloring, the editing of images into a readable picture story, and the work of turning all that into something that can actually be produced and held in your hand — were mostly mine. The ceramics proposal and the charity cup were drawn by me from form to finish; in the three-person projects, I was the one responsible for the visual half throughout.

Later I added two more sections: one for my own calligraphy, and one for the documentation and redesign of Guizhou's intangible cultural heritage. The latter holds a set of materials from a field trip across Guizhou, and the calligraphy section is filled out now too — seal script and clerical script, stretches of copying from the Cao Quan Stele, the twenty-four-page album I wrote out for my class, and purely-for-fun things like Spring Festival couplets and bookmarks. In 2026 I held a charity sale of my own calligraphy, and the proceeds went in full to the 'Love Parcel — Dreaming Childhood' project.

I am not used to showing only finished products. So here you can also page through the sketches I overthrew, the exhibition floor plan, the footage that was cut and cut again — for me, the process is often closer to what I want to say than the result.
